Caregiver education is one of our highest priorities

We believe that only the best education will facilitate the best client care. As a result, A Helping Hand Homecare has one of the most thorough educational programs in the Seattle area.

Each caregiver is required to attend a full-day orientation, which includes information about company policies and procedures, a review of skills with a registered nurse, and even a cooking class! Our office team attends an orientation as well.

Caregivers are also required by law to complete 12 hours of continuing education credit each year. A Helping Hand takes this responsibility very seriously. We therefore provide state-approved lessons and quizzes on a range of topics critical to providing care to our clients.

Continuing Education

Certified Nursing Assistants and other professionals may register for elements of the HCA program listed below to gain continuing education hours. Specifically, we offer state approved classroom courses in:

  • Dementia
  • Mental Health
  • Hands-On Skills Refresher
